You will be responsible for supporting patient diagnosing and treatment by installing, testing, calibrating, and repairing biomedical equipment, trains users and maintains safe operations. This role is onsite in Nashville, TN and will require occasional travel to Wood Dale, IL Primary Responsibilities : Work on a variety of equipment to ensure safe operations (e.g., defibrillators, CT scanning devices, ultrasound equipment, etc.). Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on biomedical equipment. Ensure proper service delivery by working with, directing, and documenting activities of subcontractors, vendors and outside service technicians. Ensure accuracy and integrity of equipment service history. Document all repair and maintenance activities per applicable policy and procedure. Utilize acquired knowledge of equipment and systems, acts as trouble-shooter, identifying issues and resolving in a timely manner. Ensure defective and warranty parts are taken care of in a timely manner. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Qualifications : High School diploma or GED required, Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in engineering or biomedical equipment technology preferred. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 10 years of biomedical technology experience Must be able to successfully pass contractually required Federal background check. Additional Information : CBET, CLES, SRES certifications preferred. Ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment. Ability to work a flexible schedule may include nights and weekends. Knowledge of computers and skills used to interpret error codes, replace power supplies, defragment hard drives, etc. Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources including manufacturer documentation, internet research and diagnostic codes. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
