Adjunct Instructor of Financial Accounting for Health Care Organizations

Health Policy and Management

The USC Sol Price School of Public Policy is seeking a working professional with expertise and a primary position in financial accounting for health care organizations.

The successful candidate should possess a Masters degree or doctorate in accounting, finance, business economics, or a closely related field.

The candidate will be able to teach a graduate-level course in the following areas : theories and practices of financial accounting with emphasis on healthcare, accounting as a management tool;

accounting systems; basic accounting concepts and procedures; budgets; financial statements. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience and excellent teaching evaluations.

PPD 516 Financial Accounting for Health Care Organizations will be offered this fall semester (8 / 22-12 / 14) and the instructor must be available to teach in-person, Monday or Thursday nights.

Adjunct instructor responsibilities include delivery of course content, scheduling office hours and being accessible to students as appropriate, and grading.

Each instructor is expected to provide students with a syllabus outlining the course goals, schedule and all requirements for the course under the direction of the Department Chair.
