What we do :

The Trading role at The Trade Desk works hand in hand with their core account team (Account Managers and Business Development) to strategically grow their portfolio of accounts / business through proving the value of programmatic media buying.

Core responsibilities of Traders revolve around becoming a Platform Expert, being able to tell a story with data, and helping advertisers understand how they are driving business value.

This involves a mixture of technical savviness (working with data) and teaching, working with, and presenting to clients.

A successful trader is viewed as a strategic consultant by our agencies and brands.

What you’ll do :

  • Collaborate with Account Management and Business Development to identify areas of education and drive performance
  • Become a Trade Desk platform expert through an effective and efficient onboarding program
  • Utilize excel to analyze data and make performance recommendations
  • Work closely with clients to ensure their campaigns are set up correctly, on track to spend their budget, and hitting their key KPIs
  • Gain a clear understanding of your client’s business, goals, and areas for growth
  • Train clients on basic programmatic and trading principles
  • Troubleshoot basic problems including campaign setup, spend issues, and platform nuances
  • Pull delivery and performance data from the platform to assist with client presentations and optimization recommendations

Who you are :

  • A team player that can work collaboratively with their core account team, as well as across other organizations in the company
  • Experience in excel manipulating data to generate clear insights and action items
  • Eager to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment that requires self-driven education and improvement.
  • Effective time management skills, especially the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills to help build relationships internally and externally
  • Curious about digital advertising and the value exchange of the internet
  • Passionate about teaching others and explaining complex topics simply

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.

All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.

The base salary range for this role is$53,000 $97,100 USD
