Position Summary :
The Director of Operations- Behavioral Health manages and maintains all operations functions of the department and provides oversight of the assigned staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Completion of a four-year undergraduate degree, or a two-year professional diploma.
Experience
At least 5 years' experience managing / supervising a behavioral / medical clinic, or hospital business office.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
- Oversees the day to day operations specific to prescribers.
- Assists in developing policies and procedures for the BH program.
- Follow up with insurances if needed.
- Speak with pharmacy for clarification if needed.
- Assists and promotes the integration of BH services into the primary care model.
- Participates in the development of the program's budget.
- Conducts assessments or critiques of staffing, develops staffing plans, and reports recommendations to the SVP of BH.
- Participates in determining staff qualifications and competency of BH administrative staff and any persons providing services under a contract.
- Assists in developing job descriptions with duties and responsibilities.
- Assesses the need for adequate space, and IT support and resources to meet the identified needs for in-clinic and virtual services.
- Assures that all departmental safety program components are adhered to.
- Implement processes and practices across the department that promote a smooth workflow.
- Assists in the implementation of strategic programs.
- Conducts regular conferences with administrative staff to identify needs by collecting input, setting goals, and evaluating programmatic outcomes; communicates this information in a timely and effective way to the SVP of BH.
- Ensures coordination of the LAI(Long Acting Injectables) initiative
- Participates and / or leads audits.
- Provides oversight of personnel, services, staff recruitment and competencies, management / supervision and assists in identifying personnel issues.
- Monitors staff productivity.
- Assists in the development of plans with staff to operationalize strategic initiatives
- Manages customer complaints / resolve any issues following policy; reports these complaints or their resolution to the SVP of the department.
- Performs quality controls.
- Develops and communicates staff schedule with all impacted staff.
- Oversees provider schedules and implement changes. Adjusts and freezes schedules and templates as approved and needed. Creates future templates for schedules as approved.
- Approves all time off requests and timecards for assigned prescribers in ADP.
- Processes and completes PAs and PAFs for assigned positions.
- Provides evaluations on all assigned staff.
