ABOUT THE ROLE

Transform Automotive, an Amsted Automotive company in Shelby Twp, is seeking a 3rd Shift (11pm - 7am+15% shift premium) CNC Programmer, responsible for supporting the production and maintenance operations of the plant, with a focus on CNC machining support and improvements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Primary Function Summary

• Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles
• Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
• Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
• Collaborate with engineering, for writing and updating operator instructions
• Responsible to train team leaders on set up, repair of programs and tooling, machine troubleshooting and log accordingly
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe
• Required to investigate and implement improvement CNC machining processes in order to optimize machines capability to achieve better efficiency
• Responsible for supporting the team goals of the assembly department
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout / Tag out and electrical safe work practices
• Responsible for leading all Preventative Maintenance tasks, corrective actions, and equipment improvements in assembly operation
• Responsible for new product launches from setup to first off as coordinated with Engineering and Maintenance
• Serves in the capacity of waste water handler commensurate with completion of proper training
• Required to utilize advance production readiness
• Support Engineering with tool and work holding sections during APQP
• Responsible for replacing or repairing damaged tools or work holding for all CNC machines
