Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Physician

Overview Job Specifics This is a full-time position. The Attending Dentist will provide learning activities that will encourage intellectual inquiry, critical analysis, and self-directed and independent learning, implementation of an ongoing comprehensive evaluation program to assess resident learning and teaching effectiveness to ensure a quality program. Responsibilities of an attending dentist include but are not limited to supervising dental residents, reviewing treatment plans, managing treatment plans and care with the residents and hygienists, completing resident evaluations, providing education, etc. Attending's should be comfortable in all fields of dental including hygiene, restorative, fixed and removable prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and be proficient in reading radiographs. It is preferred that the attending dentist is comfortable treating patients in a Hospital setting. Attending dentist may be assigned to take hospital call with the residents. Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Education : Doctorate DDS or DMD Licenses / Certifications : DENTST-Dentist Currently hold or able to obtain State of Illinois Dental License, Controlled Substance DEA License Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Completion of a CODA Accredited General Practice Residency (GPR) certificate OR Certificate of Post-graduate Fellowship OR Military Service 5 years of General Dentistry experience Comfortable working in a Hospital environment OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
