Marathon TS is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support a high-visibility Navy AI/ML initiative focused on predictive analytics and operational readiness. This role will support the development, deployment, and security of cloud-based applications by integrating security best practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline.
The DevSecOps Engineer will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure applications are scalable, secure, and compliant with DoD standards.
Primary Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
Embed security automation throughout the software development lifecycle
Support cloud infrastructure deployments (AWS and/or Azure)
Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
Perform vulnerability scanning, remediation, and compliance validation
Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices
Support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives
Monitor system performance, availability, and security posture
Assist with documentation and compliance artifacts as required
DevSecOps / DevOps experience in secure environments
CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
Containerization: Docker
Orchestration: Kubernetes
Cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM)
Scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
Security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, container scanning)
Experience supporting compliance-driven environments (DoD preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
+ years experience in DevOps / DevSecOps or related engineering role
Experience supporting DoD or federal programs preferred
AWS or Azure certification
Security+ or equivalent security certification
Kubernetes or DevOps-related certifications a plus
