Regional Sales Director For Data Center Mission Critical
Eaton is seeking a Regional Sales Director for Data Center Mission Critical business. This role will lead and guide local sales initiatives throughout the Gulf region. The Gulf region territory includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. This position may be based in Texas at the following Eaton locations : Houston, Austin, or Grapevine. Relocation assistance is available. Travel up to 25% will be required. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, your primary responsibility will be to lead the strategic management of regional sales resources to achieve sales / orders, market share, price, product mix, and financial metrics established by product divisions and manufacturing operating divisions. You will be responsible for defining, leading and managing comprehensive sales initiatives & programs affecting the organization and its key stakeholders (customers, distributors, partners, employees, and trade and business media). You will drive collaboration across the Eaton Data Center segment, Commercial Construction and End Users which includes the following organizations within Eaton : Power Quality products and services, Eaton Power Distribution Assemblies, Commercial Products Assemblies, Engineering Services and Power Systems Division, to drive growth of the entire Eaton portfolio. The role will also work very closely with other peers across the verticals within the region to help define sales strategies and go to market of the solutions offered.
In this role you will :
- Act a sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top line sales objectives are met.
- Responsible for providing strategy to identify and develop prospective new customers.
- Develop an annual strategic plan and annual budget.
- Keep current on trends and significant issues providing direction for the strategic planning process, ensure the region maintains effective relationships with and service to customers.
- Work effectively with customers and Channel Partners within the region while maintaining relationships with the key decision makers.
- Review monthly forecasts and partner with the different finance / accounting departments to ensure the stablished numbers are met.
- Lead and develop the sales team to ensure growth for the business and the team members.
- Maintain budgetary responsibility for the territory. Manage sales teams throughout assigned region to ensure the effective allocation of company resources and assets.
- Advise senior management of customer and competitive developments that impact sales growth and profitability and recommend strategies and decision options to counteract market pressures.
- Work closely with product divisions to implement strategies focused on geographic, customer, industry, and market needs.
Your Qualifications :
Demonstrated success in leading outside sales teams, both directly and indirectly, to expand new and existing businessExtensive indirect sales model experience in commercial roles, working with channel distributors and outside sales repsProven track record of leading teams (directly / indirectly) to achieve sales goals, resulting in business outcomes exceeding $40M in salesMinimum 8 years of experience with commercial electrical industry sales, marketing, and / or engineeringMinimum 4 years of experience as a manager of peopleMust possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's licenseBachelor's degree required from an accredited institutionMust be able to travel domestically up to 25% of the timeMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications :
MBAA minimum of 12 years of sales management and sales or marketing experienceExperience being a leader of leadersPrior P&L experienceKnowledge of data center sales process including products, application and complex channels of distributionSkills :

This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
