Position Overview :

Candidates must possess a solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to effectively troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.

Location : On-site in Erwin, TN

Your Day to Day as a Maintenance Mechanic :

• Perform repair work as requested and approved by minor work order.
• Perform work on fissile uranium-bearing equipment in such a manner that nuclear safety is assured.
• Perform work on hazardous chemicals equipment in such a manner that employees and the environment are protected.
• Install or modify plant equipment as specified and approved by major work order. The following skills may be required : pipe fitting, plumbing, masonry work, carpentry, flooring, ceiling work, electrical, welding, machinist.
• Understand and follow engineering drawings and circuit diagrams.
• Perform gas and electrical welding as required (excepts on pressure vessels).
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Perform welding, cutting, or spark-producing work in such a manner that fires are prevented.
• Shutdown, startup, or repair equipment as necessary to mitigate hazards or damage.
• Move containers and equipment.
• Prepare accurate and legible records associated with assigned job.
• Keep work area clean.
• Understand and follow standard operating procedures, letters of authorization, special instructions, radiation work permits, and welding permits.
• Have the ability to take and pass both a written and hands-on assessment covering specific skills required to be performed in maintenance such as welding, electrical, etc.

Pay : $36.04

The starting rate for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) is $36.04 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and / or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
