Molding Technician II (Tool Maintenance)

Summary of the role

• Follow & update IQMS RT Scheduler mold requirements, as determined by the planner
• Green-tag readied molds; move to staging area in molding department
• Disassemble & clean molds; inspect for problems.
• Install changeover parts, as required
• Take measurements to determine wear & proper sizes of pins, bushings, and hold dimensions
• Keep records up to date, including mold tagging system.
• Practice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment.
• Repair Manifolds on tools having an electrical diagnostic background to perform necessary duties
• Work with manufacturing engineering on schematics of old / new tools
• Keep inventory of spare components up to date and work with supervisor on sending out molds if needed to external vendors
