Specialization : Emergency Medicine

Job Summary :

Metropolitan Methodist Hospital is recruiting skilled and dedicated emergency medicine physicians to join our collegial team in San Antonio, Texas.

Qualified Candidates :

  • Must be BC / BE in EM (MD or DO) and EM residency trained
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Expertise in the evaluation and management of acute medical emergencies
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and decision-making skills

Incentive / Position Details :

  • 66,000 annual volume
  • 40 bed ED
  • 40 hours of daily physician coverage
  • 60 hours of daily Advanced Practice Provider coverage ( 44 hours on weekends)
  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • Academic appointment available : Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Texas San Antonio.
  • 1099 position - up to 120 hours available
  • Meditech EMR

  • Level III Trauma designation
  • 16 bed Level III NICU and 16 labor and delivery suites
  • 12 OR suites
  • Surgical center
  • Cardiovascular services-including open heart surgery and PCT / CTO program
  • Accredited Chest Pain Center
  • Accredited Heart Failure Institute
  • Primary Stroke Center
