SUMMARY : Reporting to and under the general direction of the Vice President, Marketing, the Marketing Manager, Content Strategy, will be responsible for development and oversight of Empeople’s multi-channel content strategy.
The incumbent will create and implement a multi-channel content strategy that includes email, website, social media, video, and more.
This critical leadership role is responsible for understanding Empeople’s business goals, identifying how content can help Empeople achieve those goals, and working alongside their direct reports to bring the content strategy to life.
The incumbent will develop a comprehensive content strategy; identify key messages that need to be shared across all channels;
create, review, and edit content to ensure all content meets outlined guidelines; and develop and implement a reporting framework to gauge the success of the content strategy.
The incumbent will be comfortable leading as well as jumping in and executing when needed.
A successful incumbent will be comfortable with and experienced in developing and executing a multi-channel content strategy;
will be a mature and experienced people leader; will be highly collaborative and team-oriented; and will have some experience working in consumer banking or credit unions.
This individual will be comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels of the organization and operate with a data-driven approach.
The Marketing Manager, Content Strategy will also lead, coach, and mentor their direct reports, which include a Content Marketing Specialist and Visual Designer.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

- Develop and refine content marketing strategy across channels by using data to assess content performance.
- Review all written and visual content for brand alignment; develop brand standards that guide the work of the team.
- Write and produce content as needed, including landing page content, video scripts, infographic content, public website page content, etc.
- Enhance brand guidelines to include information about design, video, and written content.
- Work with team to develop content calendars across channels including blog, video, public website, and social media.
- Develop messaging pillars that drive content development; socialize messaging pillars with HR and L&D teams to weave into internal communications and training.
- Develop reporting framework that aligns content strategy to business goals; regularly report on success of content strategy and adjust where needed.
- Understand credit union marketing compliance requirements, and review content to ensure requirements are met; engage outside firm or internal stakeholders as required.
- Work closely with Marketing Strategist to develop and execute go-to-market plans and marketing campaigns targeted to target segments and personas.
- Oversee the production of content for website, email, social media, display ads, and more; ensure alignment with content and business strategies.
- Regularly report on performance of content against agreed-upon KPIs.
- Regularly review and report on trends on content marketing, and competitors’ content strategies.
- Define content plan for Empeople’s public website.
- Conduct SEO research and implement SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with Marketing Strategist and PMO to define member communications required for enterprise projects.
- Coach and mentor team, including Content Marketing Specialist and Visual Designer, to achieve excellence.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage a team of 2-3 direct reports and work closely with outside agencies to ensure strategic alignment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Experience developing and implementing content strategies across a variety of channels, including web and social media.
- Experience managing a team of individual contributors.
- Credit union or community bank experience required (agency experience supporting credit unions or banks, or in-house experience).
- Proficient in content management systems (CMS); WordPress or similar.
- Highly collaborative self-starter.
License or Certification :

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
- Pay Range : $74,300-$111,400
