Overview

In this role, you will prepare, process, and distribute payroll based on established procedures and other payroll-related duties.

Job Responsibilities :

Processes payroll, checking calculations for proper overtime calculations, payment amounts, taxes, and deductions

Creates import files and balances in the systems for payroll processing

Sorts and distributes payroll checks to external offices and all locations

Back up to process bi-weekly payroll

Processes various payroll-related reports for job-costed labor, payroll deductions, Tax-Offset, and others, as necessary

Auditing of all payroll data, and all systems to ensure payroll data integrity and payrolls are balanced which includes all company payrolls

Updates team member information regarding pay, taxes, deductions, and miscellaneous, as needed for new hires, changes and terminations

Processes manual and bonus checks, as needed

Sets up garnishments

Back up to process team member data changes into HR Systems

Process any payments such as United Way, Prepaid College, etc.

Provide guidance and assistance to departments and team members on payroll matters

Provides payroll information to managers, as needed

Partner with our third-party vendor to resolve any tax issues and notifications regarding tax rate changes

May work on special projects as assigned

Ensure that Payroll standards and guidelines are met in accordance with established Federal, State, County, and Local Laws, Personnel Regulations

Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities

Education / Experience :

High school diploma and 3-5 years of experience

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications :

Requires an understanding of payroll and accounting practices / procedures

Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately; operate a 10-key calculator

Must be detail-oriented and work with precise limits or standards of accuracy

Excellent customer service skills

Environmental Factors and / or Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
