Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business or public administration, or a closely related field, and 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources administration and management, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
A typical way to qualify is:
High School Diploma and 13 to 15 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources administration and management, OR an Associate's degree and 9 to 11 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources administration and management.
Supplemental Information
Valid professional human resources certification is also required from SHRM, PSHRA, HRCI, World at Work or other acceptable association, or must successfully attain certification within one year from hire date as a condition of employment.
Must possess strong, demonstrated leadership abilities and have thorough knowledge and experience in the functional areas of human resources, preferably in a local government setting.
Physical Demands
Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including an automobile, computers, calculators, etc.
