Primary Responsibilities

• Support grid-scale BESS projects by developing conceptual layouts, one-line diagrams, and detailed design packages.
• Evaluate energy storage technologies, support client vendor selection, and support microgrid and distributed energy projects.
• Develop and review engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
• Assist clients in defining use-cases for battery energy storage systems in various locations.
• Create technical reports communicating concepts, use-cases, and feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, fire safety, high-voltage electrical, SCADA / telecom, water, and geotechnical engineers.
• Participate in design reviews and support development of design guidelines and templates.
• Conduct quality assurance on work by other engineers and technicians.
• Provide construction phase technical support, including reviews, RFIs, change orders, and document updates.
• Engage in client, contractor, and vendor meetings to support business development and project execution.
• Manage project workload to meet schedules and serve as a mentor to junior staff.
• Provide technical support and assistance to HDR teams and clients.
