The Opportunity :

The Smurfit Westrock Recycled Fiber Division has an opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative, Fiber Buyer, with strong people skills to sell our recycling services in the greater Huntsville, AL, area markets. Our sales representative will acquire new clients as well as increasing value of existing clients. So, if you have cold call experience, the ability to build and maintain client relationships, and strong negotiation skills that lead to closing deals, then this could be a strong career fit! This is a great opportunity to expand the business across the region, gain exposure to recycle plant operations, and be in the talent pool for future management opportunities. The ideal candidate will also be able to appropriately structure deals and interact with operations teams.

Compensation :

Salary plus short-term incentive program; company car program; and full benefits including medical; HSA, vision, dental, wellness programs, FSA, life insurance, 401K with match with strong company contribution, parental leave, EAP, and more. Benefits eligibility begins on your first day.

What You Need to Succeed :

Safe driving record; self-motivated; high energy; excellent people skills

Proficiency in data and statistical analysis

Proven verbal and written communication skills

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

Outside sales experience preferred but open to an aggressive cold call relationship builder.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

Undergraduate Degree in Business or related field preferred

Experience in recycling, waste hauling, logistics preferred
