DACK Consulting Solutions, LLC, a reputable and growing Construction Consulting / Management firm, is seeking a dedicated Electrical Superintendent to join our team for the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center project located in New Hampton, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional to oversee a large-scale, long-term project while working alongside experienced construction management professionals.
This position requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently while fostering collaboration among project teams.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all electrical construction activities from start to finish.
- Supervise field operations, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and according to specifications.
- Coordinate daily with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain effective communication and workflow.
- Monitor progress and perform regular inspections to ensure quality and compliance with OMH and DASNY standards.
- Lead and schedule crews to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to identify any issues and recommend solutions.
- Maintain accurate field reports, daily logs, and safety documentation.
- Ensure all electrical installations meet local, state, and federal codes.
Project Highlights & Electrical Scope :
Large-scale new construction project valued at approximately $350 million .Five-building campus including three psychiatric residential buildings (300 total beds) and two administrative / central utility plant buildings.Construction to OMH anti-ligature standards .Full emergency power backup system :Three (3) 120kW generators (paralleling)Two (2) life safety generators20+ automatic transfer switches (ATS)Security systems : video surveillance, access control, and radar intrusion detection.Installation of new fire alarm system and Emergency Responder Radio Communication System (ERCES) .New MDF and 11 IDF closets for teledata distribution.Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction supervision on large-scale projects.Minimum 4 years in a superintendent or supervisory role on projects valued over $10 million.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, NEC, and construction safety standards.Experience with public agency projects such as DASNY and OMH is highly desirable.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Benefits :
