Schindler Elevator Sales Internship – Existing Installation (EI) Sales Account Manager
Location : San Francisco, CA, United States

This role focuses on cultivating relationships with customers to drive elevator and escalator services sales, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
What you will do
- Customer Account Management : Build and manage relationships within a designated sales territory to secure and renew service agreements; handle inquiries and resolve issues with a focus on revenue generation; meet with clients to understand needs and develop solutions; oversee accounts receivable for your portfolio to ensure timely payments.
- Communication : Communicate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and achievement of sales objectives.
- Collaboration : Work with Field Superintendent and technicians to drive lead generation and deliver a high-quality customer experience from initiation through delivery.
- Sales & Opportunity Identification : Identify and pursue opportunities, qualify customer needs, introduce new technology and services, and illustrate value to customers.
- Negotiation & Strategy : Negotiate contract terms favorable to the company; develop and implement sales strategies aligned with product strategies and market conditions.
- Documentation & Compliance : Prepare estimates and proposals; maintain accurate customer records; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
What you bring
Education : Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of B2B sales experience in elevator or related industry.Other requirements : Effective presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication, negotiation, objection handling and closing skills; ability to empathize, listen, and build customer relationships; excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities; motivated, resilient, customer-focused mindset aligned with Schindler’s values.Technical : Experience with SAP; ability to handle a mix of office and fieldwork with travel flexibility; proven track record in sales and closing deals; ability to independently identify opportunities and introduce services / technology.Leadership : Ability to guide and support junior sales team members and collaborate with Field Superintendents and technicians.Functional / Technical Expertise
