Coverage Needs : Preferred coverage is 1 week of inpatient and outpatient clinics (estimate of 2-3 clinics per week). When servicing inpatient, no outpatient commitment is required to preserve continuity of care.

Types of Calls : 30-minute response time

Notes re : Call : Average calls per night from Fellow : 0-4

Providers Typical Day : If on IP service, rounding on either the acute or chronic service. Chronic service is more like a medicine service, while acute service rounds with the surgery team. If not on IP service, about 3 outpatient clinics a week.
