Staff Accountant

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks and will own the Accounts Payable (AP) process while also developing and maintaining GAAP-compliant accounting processes. Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) process, including invoice processing, approvals, payment scheduling, vendor setup, and issue resolution.
• Process, reconcile, and record corporate credit card transactions, ensuring timely coding, documentation, and policy compliance.
• Create, document, and maintain GAAP-compliant accounting procedures, ensuring consistent application across the finance function.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accurately recorded.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accrued expenses, bank accounts, and credit card accounts.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain and track fixed assets, prepaids, and other schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal / external reports.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure proper coding and approval of expenses.
• Support initiatives to streamline accounting operations and strengthen internal controls.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation as necessary.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned by management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (GAAP) and company policies.
