Job Description

As a Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrol in Tacoma, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all occupants. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned property and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and / or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor site activities, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents according to established procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, observations, and incidents during each shift.
  • Communicate and cooperate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed, following established protocols.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to help to deter potential security-related threats or policy violations.

  • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge management is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
