Job Description

As a Security Officer - Government Unarmed Patrol in Tacoma, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for all occupants. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned property and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and / or unauthorized access.

Monitor site activities, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents according to established procedures.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all activities, observations, and incidents during each shift.

Communicate and cooperate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed, following established protocols.

Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to help to deter potential security-related threats or policy violations.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

At least one year of security-related experience is required.

Experience with access control and / or badge management is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
