DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a part-time, on-call Meal Transporter, you have the opportunity to deliver meals with a smile and greatly impact the lives of seniors through your conversation. With us you will manage multiple tasks, pay close attention to detail in challenging work environments, and stay organized to meet deadlines, as well as remain in contact with the senior center clerk to provide updates, concerns, and pertinent consumer information. Our team will rely on you to help us identify and meet the needs of the people we serve.

Your responsibilities in this part-time role will include :

• Completing log sheets.
• Following sanitation and safety guidelines when handling meals (meals could weight up to 50 pounds).
• Ensuring hot or frozen food items are kept in compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Delivering food and / or meals using vehicle. (Average 150 miles per day).
• Moving hot, bulk and / or frozen meals from loading dock.
• Transporting meals or surplus / pantry food.
