Essential Job Functions
•Supports and models behaviors consistent with themission and philosophy of Billings Clinic and department/service.
•Works in concert with other Financial Analysts in accessing, extracting, synthesizing and verifying clinical and/or financial information.
•Summarizes clinical and/or financial information for formal presentation, including interpretation of data and supporting recommendations based on findings.
•Responsible for establishing and maintaining integrity of decision support information systems.
•Identifies the data required and the internal/external means to gather that data. Prepares quantitative and qualitative analyses within required deadlines and within Billings Clinic financial policies and procedures.
•Identifies end user needs for information and designs, implements and monitors systems that collect the information. Provides timely and meaningful financial analysis and assistance to all levels of management and other customers.
•Serves as a subject matter expert for leadership, department management and appropriate staff regarding the inter-relationships of data.
•Takes proactive approach to identifying problems and opportunities and recommending solutions that support the strategic direction of the department or the organization.
•Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess departmental and organizational gaps in performance and identify ways to improve quality and reduce waste.
•Identifies individual educational needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational skill requirements and departmental knowledge requirements.
•Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance.
•Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
•Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, financial management or related field
Experience
•One (1) year of progressively responsible professional experience or healthcare experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
Other Minimum Qualifications
•Hospital experience is strongly preferred.

•Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of:
•Federal, state and other regulatory requirements and standards
•Detailed and in-depth understanding of the health care system and reimbursement methodologies
•Governmental reporting for health care organizations
•Automated budget and accounting systems
•Broad understanding of business processes of the assigned area of responsibility.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered
Employees that require a licensed or certification must be properly licensed/certified and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.
