Process Technician - Visual Inspection (Night Shift)

Lilly is designing and building a new state of the art Parenteral, Device Assembly, and Packaging Facility in Raleigh-Durham North Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to help build the facility of the future from the ground up.
The role supports commissioning / qualification activities during the project phase and, after project completion, operates highly automated equipment used to inspect syringes and performs manual inspection of units. The position may require domestic and international travel based on program needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness support during the project phase for inspection lines using semi-automated and automated technology.
- Develop into a subject matter expert for the inspection equipment / process with potential for leadership roles (e.g., Line Lead).
- Ensure safe operation of highly automated equipment and perform manual inspection of units after project completion; model current Good Manufacturing Practices and safety standards.
- Support the Line Lead in developing operators and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
- Adhere to safety policies, standard operating procedures, and CGMPs to ensure product quality.
- Monitor documentation and product quality; document activities and report issues to supervision.
- Assist supervision in training shift operators and support leadership during troubleshooting; act as the point of contact for issue escalation on the shop floor.
- Drive departmental objectives including safety, productivity, deviation reduction, and training compliance.
Basic Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 1-year relevant experience (education may be substituted for experience with manager discretion)2+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or a regulated industryAdditional Skills / Preferences
