City Relations Associate (Univ Government Relations Manager)
The Office of Government Affairs at The City University of New York (CUNY) ensures that the University's partnerships with the city, state and federal governments are strategically aligned. The Office is comprised of the Office of City Relations that works in collaboration with New York City's executive and legislative branches to advocate funding for programs and legislative action, and the Office of State Relations, located in Albany, New York that is responsible for advocacy related to the New York State budget. Reporting to the Deputy Director of City Relations, the City Relations Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with government officials, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure CUNY's interests are represented. The position will play a critical role in monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, analyzing their potential impact on university operations, and advocating for policies that align with CUNY's goals. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range is $102,408 - $109,898, commensurate with education, qualifications and experience. CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 3.5% effective 9 / 1 / 26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
