DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Clinical Dietitian, you will coordinate, inspect, and evaluate the therapeutic diet program at Pennsylvania Soldiers' and Sailors' Home. You will complete initial and annual nutritional assessments, implement any significant dietary changes for residents, and regularly document formal care plans for each resident. You will also participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and resident care plan meetings to recommend nutritional care improvements that provide variety and satisfaction. This role requires effective communication to instruct residents, staff, and food service workers about diet restrictions and prescribed diets. In addition, you will monitor meal service in dining areas for quality standards, prepare monthly weight reports, and ensure dietary and allied health care personnel comply with standards, rules, and regulations.
