The Estimator supports the Access Solutions team with cost estimation and project evaluation for scaffolding, construction elevators, and related equipment solutions. This role combines analytical and technical expertise to prepare accurate estimates, support bid proposals, and ensure competitive pricing strategies. The position is primarily office-based with occasional site visits to evaluate project conditions and verify specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for access solutions including scaffolding, construction hoists, and related temporary structures.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to ensure estimates align with scope and technical requirements.
- Apply company standards, guidelines, and historical data to ensure consistent and competitive pricing.
- Develop detailed proposals and support bid submissions within required deadlines.
- Analyze potential risks and provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency and job performance.
- Conduct occasional site visits to assess project environments and confirm project needs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process and cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide informal guidance and support to newer team members.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company processes, customer expectations, and industry trends.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.3–5 years of estimating experience, ideally within construction, industrial services, or access solutions (scaffolding, construction elevators, etc.).Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating or project management software a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively across departments.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally for site visits.Work Environment :
Primarily office-based with some travel to project sites as required.Regular interaction with project teams, customers, and vendors.
