Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will assist in ensuring that resident care is provided in a safe and effective manner, while upholding the principles of resident rights, compliance with state regulations, and in accordance with currently recognized nursing care standards and practices for assisted living and / or Memory Care endorsements.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Care : Assist with resident assessment and implementation of care needs.

Communication : Participate in resident and family care conferences as requested by Health & Wellness Director and / or the Executive Director / Administrator.

Health Monitoring : Ensure that changes in resident condition are evaluated, monitored, documented, and effective interventions are implemented.

Skilled Nursing Tasks : Perform skilled nursing tasks as defined by Community policy and procedure, and as allowed by state law.

Medication Management : Provide support and assistance to medication management systems and ensure that medications are dispensed in a safe and effective manner.

Team Leadership : Serve as a role model to other team members in demonstration of courtesy, gentleness, effective approach, and interaction with residents.

Compliance : Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and state regulations and routinely monitor Community compliance with the regulations related to resident care and nursing functions.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Licensed Nurse in good standing with State Licensing Authority.

Experience in training and team member development preferred.

Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members, and team members.

Strong documentation skills.

Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.

Ability to develop systems for monitoring resident health conditions and for ensuring efficient and safe delivery of resident care.

Strong organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize daily tasks.

Must maintain current CPR / First Aid credentials.

Must maintain current Food Handlers credentials.

Must maintain annual Continuing Education Credits.

Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential functions) with or without accommodation.

Subject to pre-employment screening including drug / alcohol, TB testing, and criminal background check.

Working Conditions

Must be able to work full-time, including occasional evenings and some weekend and holiday rotations.

Ability to travel locally, if necessary, to perform pre-admission assessments and participate in healthcare networking.
