Job Summary
We are currently hiring a Accounts Payable Coordinator I for our Accounting team, and our ideal candidate will possess a passion for impacting lives and our community. The primary purpose of this position is to compile and maintain accurate and timely accounts payable records.
Essential Duties
Your Day-to-Day Leadership includes Activities such as these :
- Prepare and edit invoice batches for data entry into accounts payable system.
- Review invoices for proper coding and approval; provide feedback to authorized approver / buyer as to appropriate entry of voucher.
- Responsible for the timely process of invoices.
- Accountable for meeting required payment terms.
- Recognize and ensure discounts are taken whenever possible.
- Review invoices for use tax.
- Make certain organized accounts payable files are kept
- Responsible for interaction with vendors, as well as team members.
- Address and resolve issues regarding external / internal customers.
- Assist with any special projects.
Competencies
Competencies we value for this role include ethical conduct, thoroughness, detail-oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong time management skills, customer-service orientation, good skills in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), proven strong organizational skills, and an ability to effectively prioritize in a multi-task environment. 1-2 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience or training and coursework required.
