Description

Compensation $27.00 per hour.

Schedule : M-F 830a-430p. Ocassional travel to other local sites.

On call responsibilities with additional compensation.

Medical or medical stipend. Dental, Vision, Benefit time, 401K.

Job Summary : Coordinates the activities of the IT department. technology expert : provide onsite and remote technical support to maintain a secure computer network and systems. Provide technical support to end-users on hardware and software issues to facilitate timely resolution. Serve as the liaison between the organization and technology-related vendors and works closely with IT support vendor to optimize functionality of the network and systems. Identify and implement technology-related organizational efficiencies.

Essential Functions :

Maintains network systems, installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related network software and applications.

Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.

Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal network function and minimal downtime.

Conducts risk assessment, analysis and provides education and support on mitigating those risks.

Coordinates schedules to ensure IT coverage 24 / 7.

Ensures all members of the IT department have information and access necessary to support the agency.

Assist with development and execution of company IT policies, strategies and programs.

Maintains email and intranet services, adding and removing user accounts.

Collaborates with IT support vendor to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes to Associate Administrator.

Responsive when fielding calls / emails / chats and other communication from end-users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing and other technology-related concerns. (i.e., my computer is slow, I

Provides timely identification, investigation, and resolution of user issues with computer software and hardware.

Collaborates with vendors to maintain and repair equipment, including : copiers, printers, phone system, and security-related vendors.

Working with Human Resource Manager and Administrative Assistant, sets up new workstations and / or other equipment to meet onsite and remote equipment needs of managers and staff members.

Maintains an accurate inventory of all equipment and orders IT equipment and supplies, as needed, to support operational needs.

Maintains current knowledge of technological innovations and trends and identifies and communicates how new technologies may create additional organizational efficiencies.

Supports continuity of operations by scheduling network maintenance, upgrades and other technological enhancements that are expected to cause major workflow disruptions outside of normal business hours. Effectively educates and trains end-users in existing and new technologies. Educates on-call Administrators to enable them to troubleshoot technology issues in the absence of IT technician.

IT vendor for support in communication with the Associate Administrator.

Attends appropriate educational programs; participates in mandatory in-service education.

Demonstrates compliance with dress code policy by appearing well groomed, wearing ID badge while on duty and maintaining a professional appearance.

Adheres to employment policies in accordance with the Employee Handbook. Participates in all required in service education programs and meetings.

Position Requirements

Required Skills / Abilities :

Ability to effectively manage technology-related projects, meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high stress situations.

Demonstrated knowledge of network administration and end-user support, including a variety of computer hardware and software and internet applications, networks and operating systems.

Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.

Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience. Well organized to manage time and prioritize workload.

Ability to comprehend the spoken and written English language, to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work both independently with sound decision-making, and to ask for assistance when higher level technological issues arise outside of your scope of knowledge and experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Professional attire, well-groomed appearance, and positive demeanor

Education and Experience : Required Education : degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Education : CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification

Required Experience : Two or more (2) years of experience working as an IT support technician or System Support Specialist; two (2) or more years of experience in network maintenance.

Preferred Experience : Previous experience as a Team leader.
