Under the supervision of the Assistant Deputy Director in Vocational Rehabilitation Employment Division (VRED), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Executive Analyst) provides administrative and analytical support to the division's leaders, including the Assistant Deputy Directors and the Deputy Director. This role handles contract duties and high-level research, requiring strong initiative, good judgment, and excellent communication skills. The Analyst manages complex projects, solves problems that can affect statewide priorities, and gives recommendations to leadership. They must be flexible with changing priorities and skilled in Microsoft tools like Teams and Zoom to keep work running smoothly. They also handle contracts and agreements, ensuring they follow the rules and support division goals. Professionalism and tact are key when working with federal, state, and community partners. When the Assistant Deputy Directors are unavailable, the Analyst steps in to make sure urgent issues are taken care of or directed to the right person.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in-office / telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent must live and work in California. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and / or cancelled at any time.

Statement of Qualifications :
Instructions : In addition to a correctly completed and submitted State Application (STD 678) and a resume, a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required in order to be considered for an interview. The SOQ should address each of the six questions below and how the candidate's experience meets each of the following desirable qualifications. Each response must be numbered and should provide examples of how the candidate meets the qualification.
