About The Position

Job Title : Pediatric Nurse

Profession : RN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7am to 7pm

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 2+ years of pediatric experience required

License : RN license

Certifications : BLS through AHA required, PALS required

Must-Have :

• 2+ years of pediatric experience
• BLS through AHA certification
• PALS certification
• EPIC experience required
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma and a facility with 400+ beds

Description :

Care for pediatric patients between the ages of 3 days to 18 years.

Provide care for common childhood illnesses, including COVID+ patients.

Possess a high knowledge base for pediatric patients at all levels of care.

Experience with trauma, respiratory issues, RSV, general surgical procedures, and birth defects is necessary.

May need to assist with more complex surgical cases depending on patient needs.

Unit utilizes EPIC for computerized charting and Pyxis for medication.

Nurses are expected to maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4.

May float to the PICU as needed for support.

Dress code consists of Caribbean blue scrubs.

Receive 24 hours of floor orientation with a preceptor.

Candidates must have at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience.
