Overview
Indiana University Health, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking a Hospitalist to join our team at the Academic Health Center in downtown Indianapolis!
Position Details:
- Join a well-established, supportive team of physicians and advanced providers at a large academic tertiary center, IU Health Methodist Hospital
- Full-time, Days (7 on/7 off, 7am-7pm)
- 100% inpatient
- Collaborate with other attending physicians and consultants
- Perform or supervise the performance of patient care services to include: history and physical examination, diagnosis, daily patient evaluation, daily progress notes, discharge evaluation, discharge summaries, and medically manage and treat adolescent and adult patients
- Take transfer center calls to accept referred patients from outside hospitals or outpatient clinics
- Involvement and supervision of medical students and residents, including a faculty appointment
Qualifications:
- Residency training in Internal Medicine
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana

Compensation Details:
- Compensation includes a base salary and WRVUs
- Dually employed by IU Health Medical Group and IU School of Medicine. Facility Description

With 1,000 beds, IU Health Methodist Hospital is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis, as well as a highly subspecialized center for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care.
IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals. Construction for the new hospital is well underway and set to open in late 2027. It will feature three 16-story towers with 864 beds. IU School of Medicine is also constructing a medical education and research building directly east of the new hospital.
