Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Manager to take ownership of high-visibility programs within the defense, aerospace, and industrial markets. This role requires a leader who can coordinate across departments, cultivate strong customer relationships, and ensure successful execution from program launch through delivery. The right candidate will bring extensive program management expertise, knowledge of compliance and quality requirements, and proven success in a manufacturing-driven environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee multiple large-scale, technical programs to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain revenue forecasts, reporting progress and variances to the General Manager.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive-level customer interactions.
- Coordinate efforts across Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Test teams to align resources and priorities.
- Monitor and manage program performance, focusing on cost, schedule adherence, quality benchmarks, and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and drive issue resolution.
- Lead program reviews, design discussions, and customer-facing meetings.
- Control scope changes, contract modifications, and supporting documentation.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior program managers and coordinators.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).8+ years of program or project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.Demonstrated leadership and relationship-building abilities.Skilled in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Outlook).Working knowledge of defense / government contract compliance.Proven ability to balance multiple complex programs simultaneously.Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification (or comparable credential).Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001 : 2015, and NIST 800-171 standards.Experience supporting prime contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, or L3Harris.Technical background in electronics or power systems.Hands-on experience with ERP / MRP systems and structured documentation processes.
