Financial Program Manager
The Ohio Department of Public Safety - Office of Criminal Justice Services / Fiscal Monitoring & Compliance is seeking a Financial Program Manager to manage and coordinate a budget, financial & / or sourcing program & have significant autonomy to formulate, develop, enforce & / or implement program policy.
Key responsibilities include managing & monitoring fiscal functions & / or services of state & federal criminal justice programs & grants; overseeing the completion of non-routine audits & specialized compliance reviews; providing technical, auditing & accounting guidance to staff; ensuring all audit materials & / or reports are finalized; serving as program liaison & providing technical assistance to agencies & providers; formulating & implementing program policies & procedures; establishing priorities & supervising subordinate personnel; writing cover letters for fiscal compliance reviews; performing pre-risk assessments for submitted grant applications; providing quality control & assurance on QSR's for internal & external stakeholders; developing proposals & administering projects; creating & disseminating training resources & educational materials; managing OCJS Fraud, Waste, & Abuse reporting portal; representing agency at meetings, conferences & / or speaking engagements; providing program & policy information & / or presentations to public / private organizations; researching & responding to routine & non-routine correspondence, inquiries & / or complaints; providing support to other Criminal Justice Planning sections as needed; and directing & / or assisting with special projects as assigned.

Qualifications include 54 months of experience or training in financial administration, or completion of an undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field with 30 months of experience or training in financial administration, or completion of a graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field with 18 months of experience or training in financial administration, or equivalent of the minimum class qualifications. Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 months of required accounting / fiscal experience.
Unusual working conditions may require working long or unusual hours during peak operational periods. A BCI fingerprint check, and background check, may be required on all selected applicants.
