Job descriptionAct as a point of contact for existing and prospective customers within the defined territory to solicit new business ordersDevelop and implement a sales plan for the defined sales territory in order to drive new sales. This will include defining target markets, target accounts and customer requirements, as well as establishing contacts, coordinating engineering projects, providing customer and territory forecasts, preparing and executing action plans and generating salesCommunicate progress of the sales plan effectively through Salesforce to the Director of Sales & Marketing. This is to include, but not be restricted to, submitting scheduled territory reviews, weekly post sales call updates and pre-sales call plans, account profiles, and expenses on a timely basisEvaluate & communicate market trends that can influence growth and profitability & gather competitive informationSupport existing direct accounts as assignedSupport the distribution network in the territory as requiredWork directly with OEM customers to convert incumbent supplier to your solution on existing equipment and to earn initial OEM specification on new equipment designsUnderstand the product line versus competitor offerings and be able to effectively position the products and solutions as a superior alternative. This will require a sound understanding of both fluid power fundamentals and circuits along with the markets and applications in which they are appliedContinue to increase application knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining professional networksProvide input to the sales team to help influence sales policy, pricing, marketing programs, budget preparation, and the Sales Department’s strategic plans and goalsTravel as necessary within the territory
