Territory Sales Representative
As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing a personal network within the sales territory to identify sales opportunities, promote the organization, and enhance its reputation. Your responsibilities include achieving maximum upfit, truck body, and parts sales profitability and growth in assigned territory by effectively selling the company's products and services. You will interpret customer specifications, parts shortages, and ensure cost estimates accurately reflect current pricing structures. You will identify customers' needs and communicate / deliver the parts or service solution to the customer. You will build customer relationships by visiting customer locations to promote the organization, with emphasis on gaining additional parts, service, and upfit business. You will follow all Wabash's WPO guidelines, work safely, and use proper PPE. You will maintain customer files and system accuracy. You will fill out call reports after visits and profile customer's parts, service, and up-fit needs. You will utilize suggestive selling techniques to encourage additional upsell opportunities. You will actively promote ready-to-mount units (RTM), build to order units (BTO), stake bodies (SX), and parts sales to the customer base. You will facilitate all quote requests generated from sales calls. You will establish a consistent pattern of in-person sales calls. You may require occasional use of company parts delivery truck and / or personal vehicle to deliver parts to customer's establishments. You may require overnight stays from time to time. You will recommend additional replacement orders for parts inventory based on customer and market demand. You will actively participate in SIOP and staff & production weekly calls. You will keep abreast of company product updates, changes in technology, and industry trends. You will perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Let's Talk About Your Qualifications : An associate's degree, trade or technical school preferred. Relevant sales internship experience or 1-5 years of professional experience in a similar sales-related role. In-depth knowledge of the trailer / truck body industry preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of trailer / truck body parts and their applications preferred. Interaction and communication with company personnel, vendors, existing customers, and potential customers. Must possess professional sales and effective communication skills. Must have a valid and appropriate license and the ability to safely drive long-distances. Strong organizational and time management skills.
