Job description
A successful Splicing Supervisor shall supervise employees in the preparation, splicing, and enclosing of fiber optic and coaxial telecommunications plant. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure; familiarity with fiber optic. In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience: the ability to work safely, with or without supervision excellent manual dexterity the ability to coordinate the activities of others the ability to read understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness the ability to understand and operate technical equipment, including but not limited to OTDR and fusion splicing equipment the ability to work comfortably in cramped and/or enclosed spaces for extended periods the ability to lift and manipulate splice enclosures and other plant and equipment the ability to work aloft, either from a ladder, aerial lift device, or by gaffing the ability to work standing or seated at a work table, at shoulder height and overhead, for extended periods Responsibilities: Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of an assigned area, department, or project Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance Implement and maintain processes to assist completion of tasks in support of an assigned area, department, or project Communicate with employees, contractors, vendors, and/or customers to assist an assigned area, department, or project IND1 Qualifications: Associates Degree in a related field or 3 years of related work experience Previous supervisory and/or managerial experience Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks Authorized to work in the United States Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check What you'll get… Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no additional cost Medical Plans Including: Telehealth Surgery Plus Mental Health Care Prescription Plans PPO and HD options Dental and Vision Plans Flexible Spending Accounts and self-contributed HAS Education/Tuition Reimbursement Short and Long Term Disability Provided Life Insurance and AD&D 401k Retirement Savings w/ Company Match Stock Purchase Plan Company Discounts Legal Insurance Paid Time Off and Holidays Paid Family Leave Company vehicle and gas card (Depending on job function) Who we are… We are a company united in our vision of connecting America.
