Your Role with the Company : As a Level I Fire Alarm Service Technician, you will :
- Communicate and coordinate with the home office for service activities.
- Interact with customers to schedule and communicate installation activities.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Perform system troubleshooting and service-related tasks on commercial life safety systems.
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance.
- Understand Ohm Meter operation and troubleshoot.
- Have comprehensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, electrical requirements, and NFPA standards.
- Know the wiring requirements and protection for fire alarm systems.
- Complete service calls in a timely manner
Background Profile :
- 1+ years’ experience installing fire alarm cabling, support structure, and equipment in a commercial environment.
- Willingness and ability to perform on-call duties with a focus on customer service.
- Superior system installation, configuration, programming, and service skills
- Familiarity with NFPA standards related to Fire Alarm Systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and service electronic security systems, including IP cameras and access control devices.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Professional appearance
- Proficient data entry skills and competence in Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
