Job Description

Bloomberg Businessweek magazine is looking for a freelance copy editor to join Bloomberg’s New York office. This is a full‑time contract role — 40 hours a week, across five days — supporting both our web and print editions. As part of our copy desk, you’ll ensure every story is sharp, accurate, and engaging. You’ll edit for grammar, clarity, consistency, and style, while maintaining the distinctive Businessweek voice. You'll also proof and fact‑check. Besides versatility, collaboration is key : You’ll work closely in a fast‑paced, global newsroom with fellow copy editors, editors, art directors, and web producers to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines. The role will begin fully in‑person. Once training is complete, there will be flexibility to work fewer days on‑site.
