The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture and Entertainment – with signature wit, irreverence and authority averaging 90 million unique viewers a month. Over the past 224 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.

The New York Post is looking for a fast, pop culture-savvy Copy Editor (Sun-Wed & Fri, 12 : 30pm – 8 : 30pm) to join our Page Six / Lifestyle / Entertainment Copy Desk. This full-time role touches everything from celebrity gossip and theater reviews to health trends, fashion and those unmistakable New York Post headlines — yes, you’ll get to write some of them.

Note : The shift for this role is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 12 : 30 PM to 8 : 30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Copy edit stories across Page Six, Lifestyle, Entertainment and Arts & Culture — both short and feature-length
• Write headlines, captions and display type for print pages
• Assist with print layouts for the newspaper
• Fact check and proofread stories with speed and accuracy
• Collaborate with reporters, editors and digital producers to maintain Post standards
• Ensure consistency with AP and house style
• Jump into breaking news and high-volume moments with flexibility and calm
• Occasionally work late-night shifts for awards shows or major entertainment events

Requirements

Note : The New York Post adheres to a hybrid work model. This role will be expected to report into the office 4 days per week (subject to change depending on business needs).

Pay Range : $62,400 – $75,000
