Role Overview
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex networking and Data Center (DC) projects across multiple client environments. This role oversees end-to-end material management, hardware forecasting, and program tracking for new data center builds and backbone projects, while also providing backfill support for retrofit programs as needed. The PM is responsible for strategic planning, cross-team collaboration, and ensuring that all technical and delivery aspects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with client and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Material Management & Hardware Forecasting
- Oversee material management across all DC build types
- Monitor and flag hardware shortages
- Prepare New Build schedules for DC regions and update milestone date shifts in appropriate trackers and tools
- Provide consumption signals during demand planning
Hardware Sourcing & BOM Management
Collaborate internally for hardware sourcing; review supply sheets and discuss shortages with relevant team membersCommunicate design discrepancies vs. master BOM changes to stakeholders; clarify master BOM requirements for each projectWork with design creators for BOM understanding and flag hardware delivery risks to stakeholdersDeployment, Prioritization & Escalation
Analyze dependencies between projects; optimize / prioritize hardware deployment and flag shortagesWork with the team ensure POs are accurate and prioritize gear deliveryRefer all flagged issues to stakeholdersTracking, Analysis & Communication
Analyze gear requirements for new builds; understand milestones and track milestone shiftsCollaborate with the team for milestones and gear requirementsBuild & update trackers appropriatelyFacilitate transfer of hardware from central to local warehousesLead / coordinate weekly meetings Review and update status decks in weekly syncsRespond to questions about delivery dates and risksIdentify and flag risks & blockersTrack chats and assist with programmatic updatesSchedule and conduct lessons learned meetingsRoadmap Development & Resource Allocation
Vet and validate the roadmap with teamLead calls with all stakeholders for feedbackEnsure roadmap coverage for all projectsEnsure clear documentation of site / building nuancesContinuous Improvement & Documentation
Maintain documentation and trackersAnalyze gear requirements based on specificationsCoordinate and follow up with all necessary teams regarding material statusReview tasks / comments for delivery confirmation and shortagesWork with team to understand BOM finalizations and flag mismatchesLead inventory clean-up exercises and ensure process documentation is currentIdentify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to project execution frameworkSupport training and onboarding for new team members or subcontractorsRequired Qualifications
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skillsProven experience with vendor and logistics managementEfficiency in cross-functional team coordinationStrong analytical mindset and ability to manage multiple concurrent projectsProven track record of delivering complex solutions, while navigating a fast-paced environment with frequent shift in prioritiesStrong familiarity with tools such as G Sheets, Excel, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or equivalent PM softwarePreferred Qualifications
Understanding of colocation and edge computing architectures5+ years of experience managing large-scale data center, network infrastructure, or field deployment projectsFamiliarity with SLA-driven managed services and handoff to NOC operationsExperience with ITIL or PMP methodologies preferredBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical fieldPhysical Demand & Work Environment :
