Tooling Design Specialist
Tooling design techniques to provide direct support to production manufacturing with technical responsibility for Special Tooling. Will be providing tooling for Forming dies, Assembly Fixtures, and Inspection Fixtures all housed in TEAMCENTER data management. Will need to hunt down requirements from respective departments needing the toolings, walk the floor to verify details, create designs, and work with vendors and outside fabricators to machine the tooling parts to get them back on time and validate being made correctly. Conduct design reviews with team and customer on PowerPoint to update progress. Use and review GD&T. Produce high level processing experience as it applies to both materials and techniques for tooling design / fabrication, maintenance / repair and engineering change directives. Tooling product development, tool fabrication quotes, first article development, tool configuration changes that involve cost estimation, tool functional verification, tool usage instructions, and implementation into production.

Bachelor's degree - Mechanical engineering AND tooling engineering or related di will consider 8 years of professional design engineering experience, in lieu of degree. 5 years of experience in NX, Teamcenter and MS Office Suite, (demonstrated experience working with aircraft OEM tooling specifications into procedures and processes.)

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
