FACILITY CUSTODIAN
Custodian Description The Facility Custodian oversees the cleanliness, operations and day-to-day maintenance of the pool and building of approximately 9500 square feet.
Responsibilities include daily facility audits, pool chemical and maintenance checks, filter and media maintenance, HVAC / temperature controls and general custodial care of the facility.
They assist in tracking repairs and maintenance, cleaning various spaces, may assist with any outside vendor work needed to be completed by a contractor or skilled trade, handle any water clarity issues, vacuum the pool and ensure facilities are stocked, organized and presentable, and other related tasks as assigned.

- Ability to adhere to repair and maintenance budget and costs
- Evaluations of facility presentation given by the Swim School Manager
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure a continuously clean and orderly building
- Maintain and monitor all pool equipment and locker room amenities
- Paint or touch up walls, as needed
- Assist with media filter changes
- Maintain exterior, including occasional snow removal as needed
- Tasks included, but not limited to : daily trash removal, restocking / cleaning restrooms, sweeping / mopping / vacuuming, cleaning exterior entryway, cleaning / polishing / floor maintenance for pool deck, changing area, restrooms and main walkway, community surfaces (handrails, water fountains, vending machines, etc.)
- Performs other work related duties as assigned
- Implement equipment shut down in an emergency situation
Requirements
- Experience in pool facilities, fitness or other facility maintenance
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AFO or CFO certification (preferred, but not required)
Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions
- Ability to push / lift 25 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, as needed
- Working around chlorine, muriatic acid, other pool chemicals
- Working with basic household cleaners, solvents, batteries and paints
- On call maintenance, only as needed

Job Type : Part- time, 20-25 hours per week
Compensation : $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Schedule : This is a part time position of 20-25 hours per week, non-exempt hourly position. Schedule varies M-TH / Sun daytime, Sat or Sun evening (with ability to be flexible)
