Job Description

CTR Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Heavy Plant Machinery for a company in Newport News, VA that specializes in designing and manufacturing high quality mechanical and electromechanical equipment for space, energy and industry applications.

SALARY RANGE : $85K - $90K

Work Hours : : Full-Time, 4 days ON, 4 days OFF - Day shift - 6 : 00AM to 6 : 00PM

Activity : Industry, heavy machinery, automation. Technical assistance, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What you develop :

Support client with the maintenance of Company-designed and manufactured machines including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems / components.

What you bring :

5+ years of facilities / machine maintenance experience.

Associate degree or similar level of experience.

The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

A good understanding of electrical systems to include 480 volt and below including various control voltage.

Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure.

Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fast-thinking, pro-active and self-sufficient.

Attention to detail and quality.

Must have a valid driver's license and a clean criminal record.
