Position Summary :

The Parts Counter Salesperson provides exceptional customer service by assisting customers in identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct parts and accessories for their trucks and equipment. This role supports both retail customers and the internal service department, ensuring efficient parts availability and accurate transactions to maintain smooth dealership operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Greet customers promptly and courteously, both in person and over the phone.

Identify and recommend parts based on customer needs, equipment specifications, and service repair orders.

Research and source hard-to-find parts using manufacturer catalogs, online resources, and vendor systems.

Maintain current knowledge of parts, pricing, promotions, and inventory.

Process orders, invoices, and payments accurately in the parts management system.

Communicate clearly with the service department to ensure timely delivery of repair parts.

Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels; assist with inventory counts and restocking.

Ensure the parts counter and warehouse areas are organized, clean, and professional.

Build and maintain strong relationships with repeat customers, vendors, and internal team members.

Uphold all safety, security, and company policy standards.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in parts sales, preferably in the heavy truck, automotive, or equipment industry.

Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with truck systems and components.

Proficient computer skills; experience with inventory or dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Karmak, or similar) a plus.

Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Team-oriented, reliable, and customer-focused attitude.
