Job descriptionProven experience as a mechanical estimator in commercial construction Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specs, and technical documents Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and negotiation skills Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure Be part of a company expanding into high-impact commercial projects Work directly with leadership in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment Competitive compensation package with growth opportunities A culture built on grit, service, and long-term vision
📋 What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed estimates for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related scopes) on commercial projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine accurate scope and costs
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to refine bids
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering options
- Track market pricing and maintain vendor / subcontractor relationships
- Support business development with clear, competitive proposals
