Missouri Baptist Medical Center , an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Childrenâ€s Hospital.Â

The Cardiovascular Recovery Unit (CVR) at Missouri Baptist Medical Center is a 10-bed critical care nursing unit for post-operative cardiac, vascular and thoracic patients and for patients requiring high intensity care including positive pressure ventilation and invasive monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose
The Unit Secretary performs clerical duties supporting the operations of the patient care team.

Responsibilities
- Supports the clinical operations by providing customer service and clerical support.
- Transcribes physician orders as appropriate with close attention to detail.
- Notifies appropriate nurse when STAT orders are written or when coordinating tests and procedures. Communicates new orders to the healthcare team as appropriate.
