Assistant Controller - Real Estate (Indianapolis)

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of accounting staff, conduct performance reviews, and manage departmental deliverables
• Prepare monthly financial statements, projections, and lender reports; review account balances and distribute reports to department heads
• Oversee daily functions including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger entries, and month-end closings.
• Manage year-end financial packages, personal property tax returns, 1099s, and assist with tax filings and K-1s for multiple entities
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and company policies; maintain internal controls and stay current on regulatory changes
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts; analyze financial data to identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities
• Provide documentation and reconciliations for internal and external audits, supporting a smooth review process

Qualifications

Salary : $80k-$105k
