Perm Opportunity for Senior Financial Analyst
- This is a fully onsite position located in Owosso, MI.
- The Senior Financial Analyst / Accountant performs general accounting functions through account analysis, monthly journal entries, preparation of various analytical / financial reports, and the budget process. Specific responsibility for all system related facility accounting processes and accounting activities, acting as the financial consultant for leadership team by providing accurate and timely preparation of all financial statement and financial analysis. As well as uphold the mission and values established by MHC.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
Preparation and review of financial statements for hospital and all related entities on a monthly and yearly basis including preparation of journal entries and presentation materials for Executive leadership and Board Finance Committee.Review and analyze significant accounting transactions to ensure Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are applied appropriately.Responsible for researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP.Analyze, understand and explain to relevant parties any variations of actual results from budget / forecast.Assists the Finance Director, AVP of Finance, CFO and Executive leadership to develop and implement a long-range strategic planning process and tool for the organization.Prepare worksheets and assist with Annual 990 tax returns.Prepare worksheets, reconciliations, and footnotes for annual external financial audit.Analyze current procedures and recommends changes for continual improvement of departmental efficiency and effectiveness.Oversees accounting operations, or a complex segment of the accounting functions.Coordinates accounting matter with other departments.Provides leadership, coaching, and / or mentoring to other team members.May act as lead or first level supervisor.Performs special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance and / or AVP of Finance.Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.Completes all tasks within specified deadlines.Capability to work with a flexible work schedule when needed.Performs other related duties as required.Demonstrates knowledge of and supports the facility's Mission, Vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and standards of behavior.This Facility has long-standing compensation programs which provide health care coverage, education and recreational benefits for employees.
